Accounting Supervisor

Join our growing team in Connellsville as an Accounting Supervisor.

We are seeking a motivated and ambitious individual to play a crucial role in supporting our accounting team. The work hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Tax Compliance and Reporting:

Collaborate with external tax consultants or auditors as necessary.
Lead annual review process.
Complete semi-annual tax estimates.
Financial Statement Review:

Conduct thorough reviews of financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Identify and address any discrepancies or irregularities in financial reports.
Provide recommendations for process improvements to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting.
Team Leadership and Development:

Lead and supervise the accounting team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging professional growth and development among team members.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and set performance goals for team members.
Month-End and Year-End Closing:

Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Coordinate with other departments to gather necessary financial information for closing procedures.
Budgeting and Forecasting:

Collaborate with the finance department to develop and monitor the company’s budget.
Assist in forecasting financial outcomes based on historical data and current market trends.
Internal Controls and Compliance:

Establish and maintain effective internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
Conduct periodic internal audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls.
Cash Flow Management:

Monitor and manage the company’s cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity for operational needs.
Analyze cash flow statements and make recommendations for optimizing cash utilization.
Financial Analysis:

Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data, helping to drive business performance.
Banking:

Perform accurate and timely calculations of financial covenants based on the terms outlined in loan agreements.
Prepare comprehensive reports detailing covenant compliance for submission to the relevant banking authorities or stakeholders.
Continuous Process Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting department.
Implement changes to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.
Ad Hoc Reporting and Projects:

Generate ad hoc financial reports and analysis as requested by management.
Participate in special projects aimed at improving overall financial operations.
Requirements

· Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; or equivalent experience.

· Two or more years of supervisory experience.

· Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite and Excel.

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

· Good organizational and time management skills.

· Handle sensitive information with confidentiality.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
